Legendary R&B group Color Me Badd was formed in 1985 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The group is now owned and fronted by Mark Calderon, an original founding member, and Color Me Badd continues to bring their hit songs as well as new music to the entire world.

Best known for their singles "I Wanna Sex You Up", "I Ador, Mi Amor" and "All 4 Love", the group has sold over 12 million records worldwide, had two #1 Hit Singles, nine Top 40 Hits and a Triple-Platinum Album. They were nominated for two Grammy Awards, won two Soul Train Music Awards and one American Music Award, and were nominated for five others. Their songs have been featured in movies and on television programs including New Jack City, Mo' Money, No Strings Attached, and Glee. They made a cameo appearance as themselves on a 1992 episode of Beverly Hills, 90210.

Color Me Badd were considered the leaders of a resurgence of post-doo-wop harmony group singing in the early 1990s. Color Me Badd invented the term "hip-hop doo-wop" to describe its sound, which combines four-part pop-soul harmonies with a hip-hop influence. In the 1990s, they were known for wearing bright-colored suits and for their choreography, as well as for being a racially diverse group, which was rare at the time. The group was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2000.

Mark Calderon, the only remaining original member, continues the legacy of Color Me Badd today with over 50 shows booked in 2022 coupled with a new team and management. The group continues to be a force in today’s music and entertainment industry with their latest release, “California Dreamin” boasting over 100,000 online streams and is just one of the many songs and videos to be released in 2023.

Past original members: Bryan Abrams left the group in 2020 as result of a federal lawsuit. Kevin Thornton left the group initially in 1998 and returned in 2010. In 2016, Kevin permanently resigned from the group as a result of a federal lawsuit. Sam Waters left the group in 1998 never to return.
